ABSTRACT

Covid-19 pandemic has affected all ASEAN countries including Indonesia. Nearing the end of the year countries are preparing to re-energize their economy. We will look at the poverty and employment impact of the pandemic and how it affects several sectors and regions differently in Indonesia. During the past ten months poverty and unemployment are rising in urban-industrialized regions. However not all sectors are affected deeply. We will highlight some important aspects that are prospective for next year’s economic performance of the country.
